Short answer
On June 27, 2024, Kevin’s corporation sued Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent, in federal court in Los Angeles (Meet Kevin v. Warner Bros. Discovery, case 2:24-cv-05441) over CNN’s refusal to license the Biden-Trump presidential debate that night for live streaming and commentary. After CNN publicly said it would allow streaming, the case was voluntarily dismissed. No damages were paid either way. 12

Why it is separate from 2021
The 2021 episode was a cease-and-desist letter over campaign coverage, resolved with a wording change. The 2024 case was a lawsuit over content rights, resolved by dismissal after CNN changed its position. Neither involved damages or a judgment.
