Short answer

What is on the record: $2,500 per disclosed mention, an arrangement he says had barely begun when FTX failed in November 2022, a public disclosure of the terms after the collapse, advice at the time to keep coins in personal hardware wallets, an early settlement of the class action paid, he says, by insurance, and no crypto sponsorship since. What is not: the total he received, his due diligence before signing, when he first grew concerned and how fast he told viewers, and any concrete step taken for affected followers beyond the settlement and the apology. 12

What is on the record

Kevin’s account

I had barely started the relationship when the platform collapsed. I had no insight into the platform’s practices, and I regularly advised people to trade on the platform but keep their crypto on their own hardware wallets. I disclosed the relationship, $2,500 per mention, about 3% of that year’s income. The settlement was insurance-led, covering 100% of what I had been paid. I paid nothing out of pocket. Beyond that, no more to say. 1

He called the episode a scar, settled among the first defendants in 2023, and has taken no crypto sponsorship since. 2

From the September 29, 2026 Q&A

Kevin’s account

About two weeks before the collapse, I made multiple videos encouraging people to get their money off the platform, that some form of collapse was likely imminent. I was reading between the lines to provide that heads-up. Question 46, what the settlement resolved: not yet resolved. Question 48: confirmed, no token, no NFT, nothing for coverage. 4

The settlement status, from the filings

The April 2026 annual report says the June 5, 2023 settlement agreement remains pending and subject to judicial approval. Nothing has been resolved by a court.

He warned viewers to pull their money two weeks before the collapse, disclosed what FTX paid him, and agreed to a settlement that a court still had not approved in April 2026. He says there is nothing more to add. 1

✅ After

  • ➡️ Disclosed the payments. Agreed to settle the class action in June 2023. Court approval still pending.

✅ His position

  • ➡️ No more to say on FTX.
