Short answer

He said it on camera on December 8, 2022, a month after the collapse: two FTX sponsorship deals in 2022 paid $118,000 and $59,287.50, and FTX still owed him $70,000 he expected never to see. He described the 2021 relationship as smaller. In the September 2026 Q&A he put the FTX total at under $140,000, which implies the $118,000 line was FTX and the second line another sponsor; the page prints both statements. Read that way, which is where the $2,500-per-mention disclosure and the roughly 3% of income figure come from. 12

  • Deal one, 2022: $118,000 (per his December 2022 video)

  • Deal two, 2022: $59,287.50

  • Still owed: $70,000 (which he expected never to collect)

  • Per mention: $2,500 (as disclosed in November 2022)

In his own video

On December 8, 2022, reacting to Kevin O’Leary’s CNBC interview about O’Leary’s own FTX payments, Kevin disclosed his:

Kevin’s account

FTX this year: sponsor number one, $118,000; sponsor number two, $59,287.50; and I am still owed apparently $70,000, which I expect I will never see. It is actually, for this year, substantially less than people assume. I really expanded my FTX partnership this year; last year was an even smaller partnership. 1

How it squares with the other figures

$2,500 per mention, disclosed in November 2022, multiplied out across a year of mentions lands in the same range. His statement that FTX was about 3% of that year’s income implies income near $6 million, consistent with the CNBC-reported figures for 2020 and 2021. 2

What this page settles

The compensation question that the class action raised and that the in-progress FTX page still lists. What it does not settle: his due diligence before signing, and when he first grew concerned. Those remain on that page.

Question 43, FTX total compensation: under $140,000. 3

That sits between the two lines in his December 2022 video, $118,000 and $59,287.50, which suggests the second line was a different sponsor and the FTX figure is the first, plus the $70,000 never paid. Both statements are his; the page prints both.

About $177,000 in 2022, plus $70,000 FTX never paid. He put the numbers on YouTube himself a month after the collapse. 12

Simply put

✅ The numbers

  • ➡️ Two deals: $118,000 and $59,287.50.

  • ➡️ FTX still owed $70,000 when it went bankrupt. He wrote it off.

✅ Where they come from

  • ➡️ His own video on December 8, 2022, reacting to Kevin O'Leary's CNBC interview about what O'Leary was paid.
