Short answer
The one documented overlap is the fundraising livestreams on his own YouTube channel, where he analyzed stocks for donors, which produced the 2023 DFPI consent order. He says he took no lobbyist money. The campaign’s finance filings, its total raised and spent, and any payments between the campaign and his companies are public records at the California Secretary of State and will be added here. 12
What is on the record
Fundraising ran partly through livestreams on the Meet Kevin channel in which donors could ask about stocks; the DFPI later treated that as unlicensed adviser activity and he settled for $5,000 without admitting anything. He says he took no lobbyist money. 12

Kevin’s account
The campaign raised somewhere around $750,000, with fully audited campaign finance reports that can be reviewed online. Kevin contributed capital as well. Kevin believes we achieved one of the highest votes per dollar spent, outpacing Gavin Newsom by a factor of 5x, in our opinion. 3
The $750,000 figure and the votes-per-dollar comparison are his; the certified totals are in the Secretary of State’s filings and will be quoted here when compiled. He answered nothing further on payments between the committee and his companies.
About $750,000 raised, audited reports filed with the state, and his own money in it. The DFPI later fined the livestream fundraising $5,000 for unlicensed adviser activity, without an admission. 1
Simply put
✅ The money
➡️ Roughly $750,000. Kevin contributed too. The reports are public at the Secretary of State.
✅ The trouble
➡️ Stock talk during fundraising livestreams drew a $5,000 consent order in 2023.
