Short answer

Folding clothes at Hollister in the Broward County Mall in Florida. By his account he was effectively fired after the manager learned he volunteered as a police explorer. Then a year at Jamba Juice, until a five-cent raise sent him to Red Robin, where he worked host, busboy and expediter in Ventura before getting his real estate license in 2010. 1

  • First: Hollister (Broward County Mall, folding clothes)

  • Second: Jamba Juice (one year; left after a five-cent raise)

  • Third: Red Robin (host, busboy, expediter; never server)

Kevin’s account

Kevin’s account

My first job was folding clothes at Hollister in the Broward County Mall. I was effectively fired after the manager found out I volunteered as a police explorer; her boyfriend had regular run-ins with the law and she was extremely anti-law-enforcement. After Hollister I worked at Jamba Juice for a year. After a five-cent raise, I moved to Red Robin, going from host to busboy to expediter. I never made server. 1

Why the story sticks

The Red Robin manager’s advice, be patient, you are making $900 a month, is the line he uses to explain why he left service work for commissions at 18. The Hollister firing is his first story about principle costing him a paycheck.

What is verified

The job history is Kevin’s own account and appears in profiles that quote him; no outlet has independently confirmed the Hollister episode. The explorer program is documented by a 2008 Sun-Sentinel story.

In his own videos

  • November 2023: he started at Jamba Juice, got fired from Hollister, and volunteered as a police explorer. 2

  • October 2023, with BiggerPockets: the Hollister manager didn’t like him because he was a law-enforcement explorer doing ride-alongs, about 3,000 hours of them, and hated cops. 3

  • November 2025: at Red Robin he said he was done unless they made him a server, and was told he would never make it in real estate. 4

Hollister, Jamba Juice, Red Robin, then a real estate license at 18. The $900-a-month Red Robin schedule is the number he still quotes. 1

Simply put

✅ The jobs

  • ➡️ Hollister: folding clothes at a Florida mall. Fired, he says, over his police volunteering.

  • ➡️ Jamba Juice: a year, then a five-cent raise.

  • ➡️ Red Robin: three roles, never server, about $900 a month.

✅ The exit

  • ➡️ A license in 2010. Table 10 at Red Robin is where he decided.
