Short answer

Western High School in Florida, then Buena High School in Ventura, California, where he finished after moving at 17. Then Ventura College and UCLA, where he studied economics, accounting and political science and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2014, while already selling real estate. He was licensed as an agent in 2010, before college, and a broker by about 2012. 12

  • High school: Buena, Ventura (after Western High in Florida)

  • College: Ventura College, UCLA (economics, accounting, political science)

  • Degree: 2014 (while selling real estate full time)

The record

Kevin attended Western High School in Broward County, Florida, where a debate teacher led the 2008 Europe trip on which he met Lauren. He moved to Ventura the summer before his senior year and graduated from Buena High School. He then attended Ventura College and transferred to UCLA, studying economics, accounting and political science, and earned his bachelor’s degree in 2014. 12

What he was doing at the same time

He was licensed as a real estate agent in 2010 and a broker roughly two years later. By his account he earned over $35,000 in commissions his first year, over $55,000 his second and over $150,000 his third, all while enrolled. 3

Kevin’s account

My mantra was always providing more value to clients, which led to extreme overwork and stress. I was still in college through 2014. 3

Why it matters

The accounting coursework shows up in how he talks about the company: cost basis versus market value, depreciation as a tax shield, GAAP versus cash. The political science shows up in 2021.

UCLA, 2014, economics and accounting, earned while closing deals. The license came before the diploma. 2

Simply put

✅ Schools

  • ➡️ High school in Florida, then Buena High in Ventura after moving at 17.

  • ➡️ Ventura College, then UCLA.

✅ The twist

  • ➡️ He was a licensed agent at 18 and a broker at about 20, before graduating.

  • ➡️ He says the overwork of doing both is where his stress came from.
