Short answer

Per the Form 1-A, Kevin has passed the SIE and the Series 65, 7, 63, 24, 14 and 27, some of which are not actively held. He is a licensed California real estate broker and the broker of record for House Hack. He was a registered investment adviser from September 2022, when he launched the ETF, until he wound that down when the fund closed in 2025. He passed the mortgage loan originator exam in the first quarter of 2026. He does not give personalized financial advice, and the channel says so. 123

  • Securities exams passed: 7 (SIE, 65, 7, 63, 24, 14, 27)

  • Real estate: Broker (California DRE, broker of record for House Hack)

  • Investment adviser: 2022 to 2025 (opened for the ETF, closed with it)

  • MLO exam: Q1 2026 (mortgage loan originator)

The record

The Form 1-A lists the exams: the Securities Industry Essentials and the Series 65 (investment adviser), 7 (general securities representative), 63 (state law), 24 (general securities principal), 14 (compliance official) and 27 (financial and operations principal). It notes that some are not actively held, meaning the registration that an exam qualifies a person for has lapsed or was never activated. It also lists him as a licensed real estate broker acting as broker for the company, and records that he passed the mortgage loan originator exam in the first quarter of 2026. 1

He became a registered investment adviser in September 2022 in order to launch and sub-advise the Pricing Power ETF, through an entity called Plato’s Philosophy. When the fund closed in February 2025, that entity and the adviser intentions closed with it. 23

Kevin’s account

Kevin’s account

I passed the Series 7, 14, 24, 27, 63, 65 and SIE exams, very difficult tests. I do not utilize those licenses today. Instead, I view that training as having built my compliance-centric approach to business. I believe that discipline is part of why, when the SEC investigated House Hack for nine months, the commission had no recommendations. 2

What that means for viewers

Kevin does not give personalized financial advice, and the channel disclaimer says he is not currently a licensed financial adviser. The Series 65 he passed in 2022 came after the 2021 campaign livestreams that led to the DFPI consent order; that timing is why the order is about 2021 and why he could later run a fund.

What the MLO exam is for

A mortgage loan originator license would let the company originate loans. The company has said it is exploring lending as a future line, and the filing lists the exam without committing to a launch. Treat it as a capability the founder acquired, not a product.

In his own videos

  • June 2026: the list in his words, plus two not in the filing: a real estate lender license, twice, and a drone pilot license from about 2016. 4

  • February 2026: broker, lender, contractor, drone pilot, then pilot with instrument, multi-engine and single-pilot jet ratings. 5

From the September 29, 2026 Q&A

Kevin’s account

Real estate license was achieved in 2010 and broker in 2012. 6

He sat the exams a broker-dealer principal and a fund manager would sit, then let the registrations lapse when he left fund management. The training stayed; the licenses he does not need did not. 12

Simply put

✅ What he passed

  • ➡️ The tests to be a stockbroker (Series 7 and 63), a brokerage supervisor (24), a compliance officer (14), a finance officer (27), and an investment adviser (65), plus the basic SIE.

  • ➡️ The real estate broker exam. He is the broker of record for the company.

  • ➡️ The mortgage loan originator exam, in early 2026.

✅ What he uses

  • ➡️ The real estate broker license, every day.

  • ➡️ Not the securities licenses. He held an adviser registration only to run the ETF, and closed it when the fund closed.

  • ➡️ He says the training built the compliance habits the SEC review later tested.
