Short answer

Real estate marketing, in 2011. The earliest surviving uploads are Real Estate Agent Kevin Paffrath on January 7, 2011, and, that May, Why I Am Not With a Large Real Estate Company and Real Estate Videos Introduction: an 18-year-old agent explaining himself to Ventura clients. The transcripts archive counts seven videos from 2011, eight from 2013 and one from 2015, then quick-tip videos from 2016 and the first Grant Cardone and passive-income videos in early 2018, when posting became the job. 12

  • First upload: Jan 7, 2011 (Real Estate Agent Kevin Paffrath)

  • 2011 to 2017: About 35 videos (client marketing and quick tips)

  • 2018: 112 videos (the year it became the job)

2011

Real Estate Agent Kevin Paffrath, January 7, 2011. Real Estate Commission - What to Offer and Why I Am Not With a Large Real Estate Company, May 25, 2011. Real Estate Videos Introduction, May 27, 2011. He was 18 or 19, months into his license, and the videos were embedded on his website to show clients how he worked. 1

2013 to 2017

A few uploads a year: buyer tips, a Real Estate Quick Tip series in 2016 (number 114 covered weather-resistant outlets), a 2017 video on towing for real estate in a Prius, and, in December 2017, one on a fellow creator’s mistake. Twelve videos in all of 2017. 2

2018

One hundred and twelve videos. The Cardone series, the first passive-income explainers, the first house story, the YouTube Flip series, Failure & Rock Bottom in August, and Meet Kevin’s Income EXPOSED with tax returns in September. That is the year the channel became Meet Kevin.

Why this page exists

Because “when did Meet Kevin start YouTube” has two answers, and the archive shows both: the account in 2010, the first uploads in 2011, the job in 2018.

In his own videos

  • May 25, 2011: Why I Am Not With a Large Real Estate Company. 3

✅ The switch

  • ➡️ 2018: over a hundred videos, Cardone, passive income, the first house story.
